Larger Projects

When necessary we have a team of consultants who we call upon to provide additional services which is normally only necessary on larger residential projects. JLG Design liaises with these consultants to ensure that the design process is seamless and to ensure that clients have just one point of contact We have a close working relationship with Owl Building Control Solutions enabling us to submit full plans building regulation applications to various local Authorities to ensure a seamless process. Planning Consultant – For larger submissions, we would recommend working in partnership with a planning consultant who can advise on planning policy and legislation in greater detail. Structural Engineer – Many projects require the input from a Structural Engineer. This is normally a simple beam design, wind post or ridge beam. However more complex designs can also be accommodated. Highway Consultant – For larger submissions, the Highways Consultant would carry out traffic appraisals including the assessment of development traffic levels, residential vehicle parking and turning, servicing / emergency services, access to local services, public transport accessibility and where necessary speed surveys. SAP Consultant – to Carry out SAP calculations for new build projects or SAP comparison calculations for extensions with a considerable amount of glazing.
